He was born on June 23, 1894, in Hoboken, New Jersey, U.S. He died on August 25, 1956, at the age of 62 in Bloomington, Indiana, U.S. He is best known for Sexology and human sexuality, Kinsey Reports, Kinsey scale, and Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, & Reproduction. He married Clara McMillen in 1921. He was the father of 4 children. He started early education in his hometown and graduated from Harvard University in ScD (Doctor of Science).
